Opening packs in FIFA Ultimate Team is extremely addicting; you never know when you might pack Ronaldo or Messi. That rarely happens tough so most of the time you’re just disappointed. But I’m never really disappointed when I open bronze packs because my expectations are extremely low. So when I do pack something special, I’m always really happy. In this video I’m going to show you guys some of my best bronze packs in this FIFA !
A ton of new games have been announced/shown on E3 and I’m going to list my personal favorites. Let’s do this!
1.God Of War : Be A Warrior
We got some gameplay footage of the new God of War game and it looks amazing! I’m already looking forward to kill that giant snake thing we see at the end of the trailer.
An exclusive Spider-Man game for the PS4 will always interest me especially one that looks as good as this one. The combat reminds me a lot of the Batman Arkham games and that’s a good thing; I really love the timing based combat. A good Spider-Man off course has good web slinging and this game seems to deliver on that front; the web slinging looks fun and solid. The worst part of this game is its release date: 2018. Bummer!
3. Call of Duty WII Multiplayer trailer!
I haven’t been excited for a new COD game since Black Ops but this one put me right back on the hype train. I’m skeptical that the multiplayer will look this good and fluid but we shall see. The trailer didn’t show any exuberant skins on the weapons and I hope that this is also the case for the final game. I don’t want to play a World War 2 shooter with a pink MP40.
4. Skull and Bones
My favorite Assassins Creed game is Black Flag so you can see why I’m excited for this game. I’d love a good online pirate game but it is still Ubisoft so I’m skeptical; how are the servers going to be ? What about the balance ? I’m going to try to get access to the beta to see how the game plays but the trailer does look good.
5. A Way Out
2 brothers breaking out of jail might not sound like the most interesting premise ever but what is interesting is the fact that it is co-op. I love a good co-op game and this might be a very good one!
- Wolfenstein II The New Colossus
- Marvel vs Capcom Infinite (the gameplay looks great!)
- Xbox One X
- Need for Speed Payback
- Metro Exodus

Making a good sequel is a lot harder than it may seem; you need to add new things to please old fans (and potential new customers) but you can’t change too much because you then risk to lose part of your original fan base. I think that Injustice 2 finds the perfect balance between building on the good things of the original and adding new stuff.
I’ll briefly touch upon the story of Injustice 2 just to give you guys an idea what it’s all about but I don’t want to spoil any of it. Injustice 2 takes place after the events of the first one; Superman is in jail and the regime has been shut down. But when a new powerful enemy (Brianiac) appears and the former enemies need to team up to save the world. That’s the basic rundown of the story. It isn’t as great as the first one but it still has some awesome/unexpected moments that make it worthwhile. The dialogue, for the most part, is really solid and it emerges you into the story.
When you’re done with the story mode you can enter the Multiverse; a bunch of challenges based around the idea of having different earths. These Multiverse challenges give you motherboxes (more on that later) and are just a ton of fun to play. Some of the challenges are pretty original; fighting in super speed and low gravity for example really change the way the game plays. Certain Multiverse events can only be played with one character (the Wonder Woman one is the best example; you can only play as Wonder Woman but you’ll unlock some exclusive Wonder Woman gear) but most of them are playable with the character of your choosing! The Multiverse updates daily with new challenges which makes you coming back for more.
The combat has been fine tuned but if you’ve played the first game then you’ll know exactly what you’re going to get. There are 3 basic moves; a light, medium and heavy attack that you can combine to create combo’s. Then there are the ‘meter burn’ moves; moves specific to each character that do a considerable amount of damage and last but certainly not least are the supermoves; when your meter is full you can unleash a super move that does a ton of damage to your opponent. Some might think that this is too overpowered but I think that it is perfectly balanced because of the ‘clash’ system. When a clash happens you need to decide how much of your ‘meter burn’ you want to bet; if you win you’ll do damage/regenerate health, if you lose your opponent gets the advantage. It’s basically a gamble but one that can be used to your advantage. For instance you can let your opponent use all of their meter burn to get some of their health back but then you can proceed to do your supermove because you didn’t bet any of your meter burn. The system just works and it makes some of the battles really intense. The environmental interactions are still there but now, unlike the first game, most of them can be blocked which add to balance of the game. Lastly you can still punch opponents through the map which then puts you in a new part of the stage which is just a cool thing to do.
New characters will be added with DLC.
A fighting game needs a lot of characters and Injustice 2 has a pretty impressive character roster. Some of the names from the first one make a comeback but there are also a ton of new ones. My personal favorites (from the new additions) are Black Canary, Blue Beetle and Supergirl. They also added a ‘gear’ system which lets you customize each character to your liking. New gear not only changes the way your character looks but it also changes their stats; some items add health whilst others boost strength. Gear can be dropped after a match but mostly you’ll get it from opening motherboxes. You can buy these boxes with in game money that you earn from playing but you’ll also earn a lot of motherboxes by playing The Multiverse or just by completing challenges.
Conclusion: Injustice 2 took everything that made the first game good and made it even better! The graphics have improved immensely and the gameplay has been tweaked to help with the balance. The multiverse is a great concept and it gives the player a reason to comeback. Injustice 2 is the best fighting game I’ve played in a long time and I can’t recommend it enough!
Note: I didn’t talk about the online features because I don’t play fighting games online.
My collection of psychical PS4 games keeps on growing and this week I added 2 games to this ever-growing list!
Doom UAC Pack + Mafia 3 (PS4)
Both games were on my wanted list for some time and I just waited for a big price drop. I picked up Doom for €19 and Mafia 3 for €20; not a bad deal. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Doom and looking at some gameplay on Youtube I think it’s going to be right up my alley. Mafia 3 received some mixed reviews but I still look forward playing it. It might not be as good as Mafia 2 but I’ll (hopefully) get some enjoyment from playing it!

I only bought one game this week but what a magnificent game it is!
Injustice 2: Deluxe Edition (PS4)
I’ve played the first Injustice game a lot and it was one of my favorite superhero fighting games. Injustice 2 takes everything that made the first game good and made it better; the graphics are improved, the combat system is a bit refined and they’ve added a lot of stuff to customize every character to your liking which gives the game some variety. The story isn’t as great (in my opinion) as the first one but that has more to do with how awesome the story of the first game was.

Weekly pick-ups is back and it returns with a bang! I bought 2 seasons of a DC tv show and a PS4 game.
Gotham Season 1 + 2 (blu-ray)
Season 1 of Gotham wasn’t the best; it had some strong moments but overall it felt pretty ‘meh’. But Jiminy jillikers Batman did they go all out with season 2. Everything was just bigger and better and that trend continued in season 3.
Far Cry 4 (PS4)
Far Cry 4 should have been called Far Cry 3.5 and didn’t really deserve a full €60 price tag on release. The fourth installment didn’t add a lot so that’s why I didn’t pick it up when it was released. I recently saw it for €17 as part of the Ubisoft deals and I decided that this was the right time for me to pick it up.
What’s your favorite DC tv show? Mine’s still Arrow (Season 5 has been really good) but Gotham is close on its tail!
First thoughts: It’s great that we get a Marvel and a DC fighting game in the same year and they both look great. Marvel vs Capcom games have always been great; lots of characters and gameplay that’s easy to play but hard to master. I really look forward to this and I still have my hopes up that they will do a cool collector’s edition (unlike some other superhero fighting game *couch Injustice 2 * cough). But what do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!
