You have failed this city! A lot of the times (especially in season 1) these words were followed by a deadly arrow. No risk of dying from my purchase this week but it is Green Arrow related!
Q-Fig Green Arrow!
The Green Arrow uses a lot of trick arrows but one of the most iconic ones is the boxing glove arrow so you can why I picked this up. It wasn’t that expensive (around €20) and it has quiet a lot of detail. Great addition to my DC collection!
Who’s your favorite character in ‘Arrow’ that isn’t the Green Arrow? Let me know in the comments!
Sometimes I browse online shops just for the fun of it. I’m not really looking for anything in particular; I’m just looking around. I did this a couple of days ago when I came across this Batman v Superman Armored Batman figure. And it is awesome!
Batman v Superman: Armored Batman
This Batman figure is 50 cm tall and still has a decent amount of articulation and detail. The paint job could have been better but overall it is a very nice looking Batman figurine. I made a comparison shot to show you guys just how big it really is. The Batman figure in front of it is about 15 cm tall.

This week we get a visit from both Lego Batman and the Punisher!
Lego Batman: Joker Balloon Escape
I haven’t seen the Lego Batman movie (yet) but this Lego set was just too cool to not pick up. I might pick up more of the Lego Batman sets in the near future because they are freaking awesome!
The Punisher (Xbox)
The Punisher is an underrated action game based on The Punisher comics and the 2004 Punisher movie (very loosely based). The game is very violent (mostly because of the executions) and the story is pretty cool. It has a lot of resemblance with how we saw the Punisher in Daredevil; gritty and no-nonsense.
What’s your favorite superhero game of all time? Mine’s probably Arkham City but I also really enjoyed Spider-Man 2 and Marvel vs Capcom 2.
It’s the Friday before Christmas and I got myself an early Christmas present in the form of an indie game. But which one?
Pixel Cup Soccer 17 (PC)
I read a review about this game on another blog (https://explorethegamingworld.wordpress.com/2016/12/18/indie-reviewpixel-cup-soccer-17a-retro-football-arcade-game/) and I was immediately sold. The game reminded me of World Cup on the NES; one of my favorite NES games. Pixel Cup Soccer 17 is a lot of fun and the ideal game to play when FIFA pisses you off a bit too much.

I’m already feeling the Holiday spirit because I received 2 awesome gifts from a friend. I also got something to put on my ears and something to put on my shelf. Let’s see what I got!
Watch Dogs 2 (PC)
I’ve never played the first Watch Dogs and to be honest; I wasn’t going to buy this one. The game looked interesting but not interesting enough for me to pay full price. Turned out I didn’t have to pay anything to own the game thanks to an awesome friend! He bought a new graphics card and got the game with it but he already bought it so he gifted it to me! Thanks man! I’ve played Watch Dogs 2 for a couple of hours now and I really enjoy it. There’s a lot to do in the city, the hacking is fun and the multiplayer is really nice. The only thing that I don’t really like is how the cars handle but that’s not too bad in the grand scheme of things.
I wanted a wireless headset but I couldn’t find one for a decent price so I opted to go with this one because I can use it on my PC and PS4. It was on sale (€64.90 instead of €72.99) which made it a pretty good deal.
Another gift (from the same guy, I’m starting to think that he really is Santa Claus!) that I got recently for a game that I wanted to play for some time. I’m a big horror fan so this game is right up my alley.
Raditz Banpresto figure
Awhile ago I got the Bardock Banpresto figure and I loved how it looked so I decided to buy a Raditz one. This one isn’t as good ; the paint job is a bit iffy (the scouter for example) but overall I’m still quite happy with it! Fits in great with my other Saiyan fighters.
Are you guys expecting to get some gaming related gifts this Christmas? Let me know all about it in the comments!
This week it’s all about consoles! I bought two new (well old really) consoles for my collection and I also bought some PS4 games on PSN.
Sega Dreamcast + VMU + Hydro Thunder
I owned a Dreamcast before (many many years ago) but I sold it because I wanted a new bike. About a week ago I saw a lot of posts celebrating the 17th anniversary of the release of the DC in North America and I decided it was time to get myself another Dreamcast. The set that I got includes everything you need to get started; the console, the controller, a vmu and a game. I chose Hydro Thunder for two reasons; the first is that it’s a fun game and the second one is that it was pretty cheap.
Microsoft Xbox Sega GT 2002/Jet Set Radio Future set
My original Xbox broke and I needed a replacement. I found this one for a decent price and it’s in great condition. The box is a bit damaged but the set came with an extra controller which is always nice. Now I can continue to dominate the court in NBA Street 2!
Killzone Shadow Fall and Air Conflicts Pacific Carriers (PS4)
Killzone was one of my favourite PS2 games but I didn’t really pay attention to any of the sequels because I switched to an Xbox 360 (I didn’t have the money to buy a 360 and a PS3). Now I go back to the series with Shadow Fall. I’ve read some good things about the game online so I don’t think that €9 is a bad price. Air Conflicts Pacific Carriers is one of my guilty pleasures. I love flying games but only the more arcade style games (Dogfight 1942, Blazing Angels, …) so this is right up my alley.
What console did you own in the early 2000’s? A Playstation 2? An Xbox? Let me know in the comments!
I love collector’s editions but the big problem is that I don’t always have the money to buy all of the collector’s editions that I want. Thank God that some of them aren’t popular (mostly because the game is rubbish) and that they get put in the budget bin.
Homefront: The Revolution – Goliath Edition (PS4)
The game itself is pretty mediocre but I liked this collector’s edition for one reason; the RC Goliath that came with it. The original retail price was €129 but I only paid a fraction of that. The Goliath edition also comes with the obligatory art book, a steelcase and some DLC. I don’t really care about the other things because the RC is a lot of fun to screw around with. The built quality isn’t top notch (the remote feels like it could break any second) but for the price that I paid for it I can’t complain.
Xbox One Controller
I needed a controller to game on PC and I decided to go with the wired Xbox One controller. I could have waited for the S controller to come back in stock but this one does the job just fine.
What’s your favorite controller of all time? Let me know in the comments!
Bonus: Here’s a short video of me messing around with the Goliath RC. I crashed it so hard that the battery came loose; that’s why it stops working at the end of the video (it still works).
