Weekly pick-ups: Week 105!

Another big week for pick ups! I got some sweet collectors editions and a brand new controller!

Kingdom Come Deliverance Collectors Edition (PS4)

A great collectors edition for a very good price. If you want to see everything that’s in it, check out my unboxing video here; https://wp.me/p6lqKe-dO

Dynasty Warriors 9 + Steelcase and Carmageddon Max Damage (PS4)

The first open world Dynasty Warriors game! The steelcase was a pre-order extra; great if you love that kind of stuff (and I do love a good steelcase). Carmageddon was cheap and I just wanted to see how it’s like.

Shadow of the Colossus + Valus Statue (PS4)

According to critics, this is the best remaster ever. I still haven’t played it but I have shown the Valus statue in detail on video; check that out right here https://wp.me/p6lqKe-dQ

Sea of Thieves Limited Edition Controller (Xbox One)

A fantastic looking controller for the Xbox One. The skull logo actually lights up in the dark but I’ll probably never see it because I’m not planning on actually using the controller.

Call of Duty Valor Collection

This statue originally retailed at €150 here in Belgium. I liked the look of it but I didn’t want to pay that much. A few days ago however I saw it on Amazon for around €50 which is a much better price so I picked it up. It looks great and it gets a spot in my Call of Duty WWII Collection!

Weekly Pick-Ups: Week 95!

The madness continues with another HUGE haul!

Lord of the Rings: Third Age (Xbox)

Last week I got the game for the PS2 but that disc was damaged so it didn’t work. So I went on eBay and found myself a copy of the game for the original Xbox. The game is complete and in very good condition and most importantly; it works.

Call of Duty WWII Limited Edition Crate, Call of Duty WWII Guide and Call of Duty WWII (PS4)

Yes, I’m a fan of the latest title in the Call of Duty franchise. The single player is awesome and the multiplayer, even with the current flaws, is still fun to play. I already did an unboxing for the limited edition crate; you can find the video a bit further down on my blog. And then finally I bought the guide. I’m a sucker for physical  guides and this one is really high quality (hardcover for the win!). I mostly use it for zombies but it still fun to read when I have a couple of minutes to spare.

Need for Speed Payback (PS4)

I can be pretty brief on this one; I haven’t played it yet and the reviews don’t seem all that amazing. I got it because the trailers looked promising and I wanted an ‘easy’ racing game to play when I’m not playing FIFA/Call of Duty. I’ll let you guys know what I think of it when I find some time to play it.

Assassins Creed 3: Join or Die Edition (PS3)

It was cheap and it’s complete; so why not? I’ve played a fair bit of this game but I never managed to complete it. I might give it another go when I find some time for it (which won’t be in the next few weeks).

Call of Duty WWII Limited Edition Gear Crate Unboxing!

I got this box full of Call of Duty WWII Goodies for €29.99 and I decided to unbox it for you guys! Hope you enjoy it!

This box contains:

  • A limited lithograph of Call of Duty WWII
  • Ronald Daniels Dog Tags
  • Ronald Daniels Cable Guy Figurine
  • Commando Beanie
  • Two Call of Duty WWII drinking glasses
  • A tin war cup
  • Two coasters with a map of occupied territories in World War 2

Weekly Pick-Ups: Week 85!

This week features the biggest haul ever; I bought a ‘new’ console, some games and a couple of new figurines!

Gears Of War 12017 Marcus Fenix Action Figure + Gears of War 3 3/4 Inch Marcus Scale Figure

I’m currently playing through the Gears of War games again and I really wanted a GOW figure. I found these two of Marcus Fenix on Amazon for a decent price. I’m probably going to display the bigger one and keep the smaller Neca one in the package.

Call of Duty, Call of Duty United Offensive, Shovel Knight and Rally Authentic Simulation Big Box

Normally I prefer my PC games to be digital (because of the lack of re-sel value) but when they are this cheap I just can’t resist. I got Call of Duty and the expansion for €1 each at a thrift store. I found the big box at the same thrift store for €0.75 and Shovel Knight I got for €0.80. A really good deal for these games if you ask me. I already owned Shovel Knight on the PS4 but the game is just too good to pass up.

PS2 (2 controllers and 2 memory cards were included) + Carry Case + SSX Tricky + 50 Cent Bulletproof + Smash Court Tennis Pro Tournament 2

Initially the plan was to buy a controller and a video cable for my PS One so that I could play on it. But then I found a PS2 + Carry Case + 2 controllers + SSX Tricky + 2 memory cards + Network Adapter (with all the discs/information) for €33 including shipping. I bought it because now I can play my PS1 games on my PS2 and I can buy some of my all time favorite PS2 games. I then went to a thrift store and found 50 cent Bulletproof and Smash Court tennis for €3.50 each. I’m not going to go too crazy with the PS2 games but I’ll look around to find games that I enjoyed as a kid.

TheCollectorsCave Mini Montage Part 3!

Had some clips sitting on my hard drive and I decided to throw them together. Most of the games are on PS4 with the exception of NBA 2K17; that’s on PC! I hope you guys enjoy this short video; next week I’ll be back with a BIG weekly pick ups !

My E3 2017 Top 5 !

A ton of new games have been announced/shown on E3 and I’m going to list my personal favorites. Let’s do this!

1.God Of War : Be A Warrior

We got some gameplay footage of the new God of War game and it looks amazing! I’m already looking forward to kill that giant snake thing we see at the end of the trailer.

2. Spider-Man!

An exclusive Spider-Man game for the PS4 will always interest me especially one that looks as good as this one. The combat reminds me a lot of the Batman Arkham games and that’s a good thing; I really love the timing based combat. A good Spider-Man off course has good web slinging and this game seems to deliver on that front; the web slinging looks fun and solid. The worst part of this game is its release date: 2018. Bummer!

3. Call of Duty WII Multiplayer trailer!

I haven’t been excited for a new COD game since Black Ops but this one put me right back on the hype train. I’m skeptical that the multiplayer will look this good and fluid but we shall see. The trailer didn’t show any exuberant skins on the weapons and I hope that this is also the case for the final game. I don’t want to play a World War 2 shooter with a pink MP40.

4. Skull and Bones

My favorite Assassins Creed game is Black Flag so you can see why I’m excited for this game. I’d love a good online pirate game but it is still Ubisoft so I’m skeptical; how are the servers going to be ? What about the balance ? I’m going to try to get access to the beta to see how the game plays but the trailer does look good.

5. A Way Out

2 brothers breaking out of jail might not sound like the most interesting premise ever but what is interesting is the fact that it is co-op. I love a good co-op game and this might be a very good one!

Honorable mentions:

  • Wolfenstein II The New Colossus
  • Marvel vs Capcom Infinite (the gameplay looks great!)
  • Xbox One X
  • Need for Speed Payback
  • Metro Exodus
