Weekly pick-ups: Week 113!

Another week with a bunch of new games so let’s get right to it!

Agony and Raiden V Directors Cut (PS4)

Agony was a game that I had on my radar for a long time; the setting look really cool and I’m always up for a horror game. Raiden V is a shoot em up game of the purest form. It’s nothing too special but it’s a ton of fun and you can find it for a very low price (I paid around €15 for mine, new)

Mark McMorris Infinite Air and Resident Evil Revelations (Xbox One)

As a collector I always check the budget bin when I can because you never know which little gems you’re going to find. I got those two games for €5 each which is an absolute steal. I’ve played the Infinite Air game a bit but I’m not a huge fan of realistic snowboard games so I don’t know how much I’m actually going to play it but for €5 I was willing to give it a go. I’ve already played Revelations and I thought it was a good game but I didn’t own it on the Xbox One so why not?

What’s the best thing you’ve ever gotten from a budget bin? Let me know in the comments!

A Quick Little Room Tour Video!

I made a little video showing you guys how my collection looks as of today. I’ll do another video in a couple of weeks when I look at everything in more detail. But this video will give you guys an idea how my collection currently looks!

FIFA18 – Just Have Fun (Montage)!

Since the introduction of Fut Champs in FIFA17 the game has gotten a lot more serious. Done are the days when you would face a Brazilian skiller squad in higher divisions or when people tried to beat you with all kinds of crazy cards. These days, especially in Weekend League and in the Daily Knockout Tournaments, people just want to get the win. That results in sometimes boring games where my opponent starts to pass the ball around as soon as he gets the lead. I’m not a great FIFA player (I finish around Gold 2/Gold 3 in Fut Champs) but I like to have fun and that’s what I wanted to show in this montage. I rather score a beautiful goal and lose than play like a ‘dick’ and win. I also love playing with players that don’t fit the meta of the game; just because I like them in real life or because their card appeals to me. I hope you guys enjoy this video and I see you next time!

Weekly pick-ups: Week 112!

Only two games this week and both have the number ‘2’ in their title so you know what time it is; sequel time!

State of Decay 2 (Xbox One)

The first State of Decay was a very solid zombie survival game but it had one glaring weakness; no multiplayer. They fixed that in the sequel and they added a bunch of new features to keep you busy. It’s also released for a budget price (€30) which sweetens the deal even more.

Steamworld Dig 2 (PS4)

I’ve never played the first Steamworld Dig game and I didn’t know much about this sequel but the trailer in combination with the budget price made me buy it. I’ve played it for about 2 hours now and it’s a really fun action/platform game with a bit of humor.

Weekly pick-ups: Week 111!

It’s been a while since I’ve done my last weekly pick ups and that’s mostly because I waited for some stuff to arrive. Now most of the things that I’ve ordered have arrived so I can update you guys on what I got! Are you ready? I sure hope so because I’m going to get right to it!

Kratos and Atreus Totaku Figures

The new God of War is easily one of the best games on the PS4 yet so it’s no wonder that it got a ton of merchandise. I got these two Totaku figures for €15 each, which is a good price for figurines which look as good as these ones.

X-Com 2 (Xbox One)

I wasn’t really looking for any Xbox One games but I found this one in the bargain bin for €4 so why not? I’ve played the first game on PC and I enjoyed that so I hope that this one is more of the same.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap (PS4)

Nostalgia fever hit me with this one. It’s a remake of a classic Sega Mastersystem game and it’s really fun. It also came with some fun collectibles (a keychain, a cd and a little instruction booklet) that gave it that extra retro feel!

Weekly pick-ups: Week 110!

It was an up and down week for me. I got the Red Hood statue that I’ve always wanted but it got damaged during shipping so I sent it back. But I got some other stuff in its place and I got the collectors edition for one of the most anticipated PS4 games yet!

Get Out (blu-ray)

A great modern horror movie and it isn’t a sequel/remake; how strange. If you haven’t seen it yet, go watch it; it’s good!

DC Comics Multiverse Figure The Dark Knight Returns Armored Batman

Just a very cool and mean looking action figure.

DC Collectibles DC Comics Designer Action Figures Series 1 Talon Action Figure

Same as with the previous figurine; really liked the look of it and I didn’t have anything ‘Court of Owls’ related in my collection (well besides the graphic novel).

God of War Collectors Edition (PS4)

What a game and what an amazing collectors edition. I’ve played God of War for about 3 hours now and I loved every bit of it. The graphics are great, the story telling is solid and the combat feels better than ever. The collectors edition also comes with an awesome statue of Kratos and Atreus. If you want to see how it looks I did an unboxing for it here:https://thecollectorscave.wordpress.com/2018/04/20/god-of-war-collectors-edition-unboxing/
