Weekly pick-ups: Week 137!

Christmas is coming and my pick ups are slowing down because of that; I need the money to buy presents! But I did manage to grab two games that I loved as a teenager!

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Xbox 360)

I’m normally against picking up games in a budget series (platinum, classics, etc) but I was willing to make an exception for this classic. I loved this game growing up and now I can play it on my Xbox One (Microsoft is the king of backwards compatibility). I can already hear the country music playing on K-Rose!

Scarface The World is Yours (Xbox)

I remember when I first saw this game in my local gameshop; I loved the movie and the game was on sale so I decided to pick it up. I even remember buying the official guide for it a couple of days later because I liked it so much. The game follows an alternative ending to the movie: Tony Montana doesn’t die at the end and he manages to escape but he has lost everything. So now it’s up to you to rebuild his empire. People said that it ruined the movie and I can see why but that didn’t stop me from 100% completing this game when I was 15. I now plan on completing it once again but this time without the official guide… For now.

What’s a game that you completed for 100% when you were a teenager? Let me know in the comments!

Weekly pick-ups: Week 136!

I can never pass up a good deal, even when I already have too many games to play. So when I saw a ‘5 for €20’ deal you know what happened.

Lumines Plus, Call of Duty 3, Panzer Elite Action Fields of Glory, Soldier of Fortune Gold Edition and Ace Combat The Belkan War (PS2)

I just picked up the games that looked interesting/things that I’ve played in the past. I love Lumines (the only Vita game that I regularly play) and the campaign of Call of Duty 3 was pretty enjoyable but besides that I haven’t played a single one of these games but I look forward to see what I actually got.

Do you sometimes buy games just because they are cheap? Let me know in the comments!

Weekly pick-ups: Week 135!

I promised you guys a crazy pick ups blog and I’m going to deliver that craziness. Well, sort of.

Battlefield V and Destiny Forsaken Legendary Collection (PS4)

I like multiplayer games and I love shooters so it’s not a big surprise that I picked up Battlefield V. I’ve played it for 6 hours (mostly online) and I really like it. It definitely needs some fine tuning but it has a lot of potential. And my love for Destiny has been on full display the last couple of weeks so the Forsaken Legendary Collection fits in perfectly with that (and it was on sale for Black Friday).

Ikora, Zavala and Ghaul Bigshot Toyworks figurines

I already had the Cayde-6 figurine from this range (from pre-ordering Destiny 2) and now the other figurines were on sale so it was the perfect time to complete the set! The figurines look really nice and have a lot of detail! I’ll put a picture on the bottom of this blog post so you can see the entire set.

Have you played Battlefield V? If so, what do you think about it? Let me know in the comments!

Weekly pick-ups: Week 134!

Not the craziest week ever (next week will be big, I can promise you that) but I still managed to get two games; or four games, depends on how you look at things!

Spyro Reignited Trilogy (PS4)

I’ve never played any of the original Spyro games (shame on me, I know) but I still decided to grab it because there just aren’t that many platform games around these days. I’ve played it for about a hour and I really like it; the game looks absolutely stunning. This is something that I’ll play between some intense H1Z1 games; to calm me down a bit!

Destiny (PS4)

I’ve finished Destiny 2 twice this week (once on PC  and once on PS4) and I really wanted some more Destiny so I got the first game for €5 used. Great fun.

Have you guys picked up Spyro? Let me know in the comments!

H1Z1: “Two Extremes” Montage (PS4)

Sometimes you need to rush in with a LMG and fight your way to victory. And sometimes you need to be sneaky and kill your opponents with a well placed sniper shot to the head. Two completely different play styles that both lead to success! I use both of those play styles and I decided to make a video about them together with some fitting music. Which play style do you prefer? Let me know in the comments!
